Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does US LLC formation take?
- Formation timelines depend on your chosen state. Wyoming takes 3–5 business days, Missouri 2–4 business days, and Montana 7–14 business days. EIN issuance by the IRS typically takes an additional 1–5 business days after formation is confirmed.
- Do I need to visit the US to form an LLC?
- No. The entire process — LLC formation, EIN application, registered agent setup, Mercury Bank account opening, and Stripe activation — is handled 100% remotely. You never need to visit the United States.
- What documents do I need to submit?
- You will need a valid passport (bio data page) and a recent proof of residential address (bank statement, utility bill, or internet bill dated within the last 2 months). No notarisation or apostille is required.
- Can I track the status of my application?
- Yes. Every application has a dedicated dashboard where you can monitor each milestone — from state filing to EIN issuance, Mercury Bank approval, and Stripe gateway activation — in real time.
- What happens if my Mercury Bank application is declined?
- Mercury Bank conducts its own independent review. If your application is not approved, we will attempt Relay Bank or another compatible US business bank as an alternative at no additional charge.
- How does Stripe activation work for non-US residents?
- We guide you through Stripe's identity verification and business detail submission. Because your LLC is a US-registered entity, you qualify for a US Stripe account. We coordinate directly with Stripe's team where escalations are needed.
- Is my information kept confidential?
- Yes. All personal data is stored securely and used solely to complete your LLC formation and related services. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
- What is the registered agent and why do I need one?
- A registered agent is a person or company that receives official state and legal correspondence on behalf of your LLC. All US states require one. Entryly provides registered agent service as part of every formation package — you do not need to arrange this separately.
- Are there ongoing annual fees after formation?
- Yes. Wyoming LLCs require an annual report fee (~$60). Montana requires a biennial report. Missouri has no annual report requirement. All packages include the first year of registered agent service; renewals are billed annually thereafter.
- How do I contact Entryly if I have an urgent issue?
- For urgent matters — such as a Stripe compliance hold or IRS correspondence — contact us by phone or WhatsApp at (+94) 72 450 3859 during business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 AM–6 PM EST). For non-urgent questions, email support@entryly.net and we aim to respond within one business day.
